Important Additional Information

The eligibility criteria under the new Erasmus+ Programme have been altered, in what concerns the nomination of students for periods of study to be performed in their countries of origin. Please make sure you comply with the new rules before being nominated by your University.

Students are requested, as far as possible, not to mix subjects from the non-clinical years (1st, 2nd and 3rd years) with subjects of the clinical years (4th, 5th and 6th years), beause they might not be compatible within their weekly schedules.

TRAINEESHIPS

NMS|FCM also accepts students from foreign Universities to perform traineeships in one of our partner Hospitals in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. NMS|FCM will consider applications either from partner and non-partner Universities. If there is already an Erasmus+ agreement in place between NMS|FCM and the student's home University which foresees the offer of traneeships, the application will be automatically accepted, provided that the agreed limit  and academic calendar are respected. For all other applications, NMS|FCM is entitled to decide whether to approve or refuse them.

Applications for Erasmus+ traineeships will be considered under the following conditions:

  • Traineeships must be carried within the academic calendar of NMS|FCM (no students will be accepted for the summer months)
  • Traineeships can solely be carried within the academic offer of the 6th year of the Integrated Master in Medicine of NMS|FCM
  • Please check: schedule 6th year and contents of our 6th year Traineeships here.

In order to formalize their applications, students must present the following documents:

  • Act of nomination of Home University
  • National ID or Passport
  • ERASMUS+ LEARNING AGREEMENT FOR TRAINEESHIPS, completed and signed by student and Home University
  • Transcript of Records (validated by the Home University)
  • Level A2 Portuguese Certificate

All applications for Erasmus+ traineeships, either from parter or non-partner Universities, must be addressed to the Section of International Mobility of NMS|FCM and not any of its partner Hospitals. No need for applications sent by post. All of the above mentioned documents can be sent by email to: Este endereço de email está protegido contra piratas.
