2nd Consensus Conference on the National Artificial Intelligence Agenda

18-Sep-2026

NOVA Medical School, in partnership with the Portuguese Medical Association’s Artificial Intelligence Committee, is organizing, on September 18, a meeting dedicated to the future of Artificial Intelligence in Health, bringing together representatives from regulatory bodies, academia, hospitals, professional associations, patient organizations, and the innovation ecosystem to discuss the challenges and opportunities in this field.

The initiative builds on the national consensus-building process launched in 2025 and aims to contribute to the development of recommendations to support the integration of Health into the National Artificial Intelligence Agenda.

Throughout the session, experts from different fields will share perspectives on the regulatory framework, research, clinical practice, innovation, and governance of Artificial Intelligence in Health, fostering a multidisciplinary discussion on its impact on the present and future of health systems.

The two sessions will result in a recommendations document addressed to the Government and endorsed by the participants, with the aim of contributing to the development of a future chapter dedicated to Health within the National Artificial Intelligence Agenda.
