NOVA Medical School is taking part in the Arroios Health Fair with a set of initiatives aimed at different audiences, taking place from April 7 to 9, 2026, promoting health literacy, community engagement, and contact with research.
On April 7, highlights include the workshop “Horizontes da Saúde Mental”, aimed at senior audiences, with online registration available. Throughout the day, additional activities organized by NOVA Medical School Students’ Union will take place, including the initiative “De pequenino se torce o pepino”, aimed at primary school children, as well as a Science Fair featuring activities led by the research community for young people aged 10 to 15, exploring the importance of skin pigmentation and nanotechnology in cancer treatment, as well as animal models for studying topics such as fertility.
On April 8, NOVA Medical School Students’ Association will carry out health screenings at Largo do Intendente, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as part of the Marca Mundus project, focusing on the detection of hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.
Throughout the days of the fair, guided tours of the NOVA Medical School’s Noble Spaces will also take place: on April 7, integrated into the mental health workshop; and on April 8, open to the public upon registration here.
