NOVA Medical School marked EUTOPIA Day, celebrated this year under the theme “EUTOPIA in Action”, reaffirming the School’s commitment to an academy without borders, where knowledge, innovation, and collaboration come together to address major global challenges.
As an academic unit of NOVA University Lisbon, NOVA Medical School is part of EUTOPIA, an alliance of ten European universities dedicated to building the European campus of the future. This network promotes a shared vision of higher education based on internationalisation, mobility, and the co-creation of knowledge.
Participation in EUTOPIA has strengthened the international dimension of education and research at NOVA Medical School, creating new opportunities for learning, discovery, and collaboration. Researchers, faculty members, and students work alongside European partners in collaborative networks, innovation challenges, and international thematic communities that foster interdisciplinary thinking and global impact.
Since February this year, Beatriz Fernández, Pre-Award Unit Coordinator, has assumed the role of institutional contact point for NOVA Medical School within EUTOPIA, representing the School in the Rectorate’s task force.
Through this active participation, NOVA Medical School continues to contribute to a more connected and collaborative European academic community, prepared to shape the future of science, education, and healthcare.
