NOVA Medical School held the first edition of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Mental Well-being training programme, reinforcing the School's commitment to fostering an increasingly inclusive, equitable and people-centred organisational culture.
Designed for the School's leadership and service coordination teams, the programme explored the relationship between Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, mental well-being, and team dynamics. It provided participants with practical tools to identify challenges, promote psychological safety, and help create more inclusive workplaces.
Throughout the program, participants had the opportunity to reflect on topics such as the impact of bias and microaggressions, the role of inclusive leadership, and the implementation of strategies that foster respect for diversity and encourage everyone's participation.
This initiative represents another step in NOVA Medical School's commitment to advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, contributing to the development of a more aware, inclusive and well-prepared academic community capable of addressing current and future challenges.
