Pursuant to the provisions of article 11, paragraph 2, of Decree-Law no. 57/2016, of August 29, it becomes public that by Dean’s decree of April 6, 2022, the opening of an international selection competition procedure was authorized for the completion of a PhD holder job vacancy for the exercise of scientific research activities financed by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), I. P., under an uncertain fixed-term employment contract under the Labor Code in the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas|NOVA Medical School, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.
Application deadline: May 24, 2022.
1— The Doctorate to be hired will perform within the scope of the base funding of the CHRC Unit the following functions:
a) Actively seek and publicize funding opportunities appropriate to the thematic lines, research group and/or managing institutions of the R&D unit;
b) Manage and promote support at all stages of the funding application process for researchers who are members of the R&D unit and/or all managing institutions of the R&D unit: support in the preparation of the proposal, review and respective submission;
c) Manage the processes of negotiation and signing of financing contracts;
d) Articulation and mediation with funding entities during the application and negotiation processes;
e) Articulation with the other services of the R&D unit and all its management institutions during the application and negotiation processes;
f) Participation in training sessions for the preparation, submission and negotiation of funding applications;
g) Organization of information sessions, workshops and meetings to support the preparation and submission of funding applications;
h) Monitor, collect and systematize information on applications for funding and funding granted;
i) Participation in national and international networks with similar structures.
2 — General requirements of the application:
a) Portuguese nationals, foreigners or stateless persons, holding a PhD degree in health sciences, biology or related field;
b) Holders of a scientific and professional curriculum that reveals an adequate profile for the activity to be developed.
If the PhD has been awarded by a foreign higher education institution, it must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 341/2007, of October 12, and any formalities established there must be fulfilled until the formalization of job contract.
3 — Specific requirements of the application:
a) Experience in supporting the development of applications in a research and development unit in the areas of clinical research and public health;
b) Proven knowledge in scientific writing;
c) Proven knowledge in career development.
