It is made public that, by order of the Rector of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Professor João Sàágua, dated May 6, 2022, the opening of an international selection competition procedure was authorized, under the doctoral contracting regulation, approved by Decree-Law No. 57/2016, of August 29, amended by Law No. 57/2017, of July 19, in current version, to fill a Doctorate position, to perform functions within the scope of Associate Laboratory of Life Sciences for a Healthy and Sustainable Future (LS4FUTURE) at Faculdade de Ciências Médicas|Nova Medical School from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

For the implementation of LS4FUTURE it is necessary to create a Coordination Office that reports directly to the Coordinator and the LS4FUTURE Board of Directors.
The Coordination Office will be made up of a team of three qualified professionals dedicated to the management of the Associated Laboratory and the development of strategic programs within international scope in the area of Careers, Internationalization and Translation. This Office will have an important role in linking, involving and promoting good practices between LS4FUTURE institutions, working closely with the offices that already exist in these institutions. The Coordination Office team must be versatile, multidisciplinary and highly motivated for the fulfillment of the LS4FUTURE mission.
The selected candidate will be a full-time member of the Coordination Office team of LS4FUTURE, where promotes the Project Technician Roles under the guidance of the Program Manager. The team will operate in a multifunctional way, and this position will have a main focus on promoting the translation of knowledge generated in LS4FUTURE, namely promoting interaction between researchers and partners in the areas of Health, Pharma & Biotech, Agrifood, and others, and the creation of innovation in these areas.
Functions have the following functional contents:
a) Identify and maintain a network of relevant partners for national and international translation and innovation activities;
b) Promote approximation actions and facilitate interaction between LS4FUTURE researchers and societal partners, with a main focus on the area of Health, but also on the areas of Pharma & Biotech, Agrifood, and others;
c) Create a program that promotes the translation of LS4FUTURE findings, which includes easy access to LA technology infrastructures and platforms, access to innovation mentors and access to funds that facilitate innovation activities;
d) Identify and keep active a network of translation and innovation mentors and their interaction with researchers from LS4FUTURE;
e) Participate in the activities to be implemented by the Coordination office in a collaborative way as a team.
Admission requirements:
1) Higher Education, with a minimum qualification at the Doctoral level in the areas of Life Sciences or other relevant;
2) Previous experience in similar or relevant roles for the position;
3) Fluency in: (i) Portuguese, spoken and written; and (ii) English, spoken and written.
National and foreign doctorates and stateless persons who hold a scientific and professional curriculum that reveals a profile suitable for the activity to be carried out, can apply to the procedure.
