On the 13th of June, the Maternal and Child Simulation Center of NOVA Medical School received the visit of health and medical education professionals, from international entities. This visit was integrated in the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Simulation - SESAM Annual Meeting 2023, the biggest European event in this area, taking place in Portugal between 14 and 16 June.
Participants showed great interest in NMS's pedagogical project based on simulation-based teaching and congratulated the College on the excellent facilities and equipment of the Simulation Center.
In the words of Dr. Pedro Garcia, professor at NMS and member of the Organizing and Scientific Committee of the Congress, "Simulation applied to the teaching of medicine is today an unavoidable reality, with documented results and benefits in terms of learning, knowledge retention and improvement of quality of care and patient safety.
