NOVA Medical School is donating 25 microscopes to eight schools in the Lisbon region to promote the teaching and learning of science in secondary schools. This donation of microscopes that it no longer uses in teaching to secondary schools will contribute to the educational development of students in the region.
"This initiative reflects our solid commitment to the educational community in the Lisbon region. We are thrilled to be able to make a significant contribution to the academic training of these schools. By promoting interest in the sciences, we are investing in the progress and development of society as a whole," says Helena Canhão, Director of NOVA Medical School.
Schools in the Lisbon district with a record of more than five students enrolled in the last three years at the Faculty were chosen, out of a total of 29 secondary schools. The universe ranged from 5 to 18 students, demonstrating the interest and commitment of these schools in training future health professionals.
