Training for Students – These sessions aim to introduce students to the services and electronic resources available through the Library.

Information about the sessions is published on the NOVA Medical School website. Registration can be completed online or at the Library's service desk.

Training on Request – This training is available exclusively to the NOVA Medical School community (students, faculty, and researchers). Sessions can be requested by email (biblioteca@nms.unl.pt) or directly at the service desk on Floor 0. Session duration and the number of participants may vary.

The NOVA Medical School Library also provides training as part of the academic curriculum through its involvement in various course units.

The main training topics cover the following areas:

• Basic and advanced searches: Strategies for finding the information you need

• Scientific evidence synthesis: Systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and other types of reviews

• Reference management tools: Such as Zotero, Mendeley, and others

• Scientific publishing: Support and guidance throughout the manuscript submission and publication process

• Open Access
