About EcoCampus

EcoCampus is a new program of the Blue Flag Association of Europe (ABAE) that promotes sustainability in higher education institutions: colleges, higher schools, institutes, universities and polytechnics. The application for EcoCampus 21/22 was available until February 15th for higher education institutions (HEIs) that were awarded as Eco-Schools in 2020/2021. Thus, EcoCampus is a supplementary process to Eco-Schools that promotes the continuous improvement of the environmental management of the Campus, planning actions for 3 years that involve all the services and valences of the Campus, as well as the adoption of sustainable behaviors in the academic and local communities. .

In the EcoCampus application form, the HEIs present information on environmental management, photographs, annexes and a description of the Campus, followed by the presentation of the Campus Sustainability Strategy for 3 years, in conjunction with the Sustainable Development Goals.
