21-Feb-2024

The British Embassy in Lisbon, in partnership with NOVA Medical School and Nova School of Business and Economics, from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, organizes the 5th UK-Portugal Healthy Ageing Forum: the economic and social opportunities, that will take place on 21st February, at 2pm, in the Sala dos Actos of NOVA Medical School, Lisbon.

This year's edition aims to publicize the main conclusions of the report "Health Equals Wealth: maximizing the longevity dividend in Portugal", produced by the International Longevity Center, in the United Kingdom. This activity will allow the sharing of experiences, best practices and will bring together experts, decision-makers, researchers, associations and companies for a debate on the economic and social opportunities - and not just the challenges - of ageing.

The programme includes three thematic panels focused on investment in health, the economy and informal care. Participating in these sessions are George McGinnis, from the UK Research and Innovation Agency, Heidi Karjalainen, from the Institute for Fiscal Studies, Nuno Marques, Coordinator of the Active and Healthy Ageing Action Plan. Rita Sá Machado, General Director of Health, and Helena Canhão, Dean of NOVA Medical School, will be present at the opening.

Working language will be English and and registration can be done in this form.
