The first edition of NOVA SUSTAINABILITY WEEK is exclusive to the NOVA community and will take place between the 12th and 16th of September with wide participation of NMS


NOVA Sustainability Week will take place between 12 and 16 September, with face-to-face activities at Campolide Campus on 13 and 14 September, and aims to bring together the several Schools promoting the intersection of inter and multidisciplinary opportunities, around the Sustainable Development Goals in which they already work.

NOVA Medical School will participate in this initiative and present the activities related to sustainability already developed and implemented to showcase its potential in three different areas, namely infrastructure, research and innovation.

On the 13th, four PhD Students from NMS will participate in the session dedicated to research. The four students are Ana Rita Moura, Diana Sousa, Jorge Castanheira, Vanessa Pereira, respectively representing CHRC, ToxOmics, iNOVA4Health and CINTESIS. This session will also include the participation of Patrícia Calado, Sub-Director for Research, who will moderate the focused on Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG3) - Good Health and Well-Being | Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-Being for All at All Ages.

Rita Rocha, Innovation Manager of NMS, will moderate a panel on the 14th, dedicated to innovation.

NOVA wellcomes everyone who want to align their activity with the United Nations Agenda 2030 for a transformative week.
