Students from NOVA Medical School secure funding to develop doctoral projects


Eleven students from the NOVA Medical School were recently awarded funding to pursue their ambitious projects, securing Doctoral Research Scholarships in the 2023 Call by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).

These scholarships are intended for candidates enrolled in doctoral programs, promoting cutting-edge research and innovation in all fields of knowledge.

The selected students stood out in a rigorous competition, where they presented innovative and high-impact research proposals. The project subjects cover various areas of medicine, from neuroscience to innovative work in nutrition and metabolic diseases. The awarded scholarships will enable the eleven students to focus on their projects, conducting experiments, collecting data, and contributing to the growing knowledge in the medical and biomedical fields.
