On April 22, NOVA Medical School signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ - an institution of the Federal Public Administration, linked to the Brazilian Ministry of Health), which aims to foster cooperation between the two institutions, with the main focus on research.

Recognized globally for their work in health promotion, the two institutions have joined forces in a multifaceted partnership protocol, which also aims to establish a solid basis for strategic collaborations and strengthen cooperation ties in various areas of medicine and health.

In the field of research, NOVA Medical School and FIOCRUZ will promote projects aimed at addressing fundamental public health issues, boosting innovation and promoting significant advances in medicine.

"Cooperation with institutions like FIOCRUZ allows us to reinforce the work that NOVA Medical School has been doing in terms of teaching and research, in an international way. It's another contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge and to the well-being of communities on a global scale," says the Director of NOVA Medical School, Helena Canhão.

The signing of the agreement was followed by a visit to the School's facilities and the new NOVA Medical School campus.
