Joana de Almeida Borba

I have a degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and I'm a student on the master's program in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Aveiro with a keen interest in research areas related to RNA metabolism and biology. I am currently working on my dissertation entitled "Assessment of RNA-protein interactions and RNA function(s) in inborn errors of the Krebs cycle" and accompanying undergraduate students. I work with the ARPE-19 cell line and my tasks include generating a knockout, over-expressing an enzyme, quantifying ATP and metabolites, immunofluorescence assays and Western blotting.
