Rita Torres graduated in Medicine at the Health Sciences Faculty (University of Beira Interior), in 2016, and in 2018, she started her residency in Rheumatology at Hospital Egas Moniz, in Lisbon. Since then, she has been a researcher at the Chronic Diseases Research Centre (CEDOC) and has been active in the education of medical students at NOVA Medical School, as an invited assistant Lecturer. In 2021 and 2022, Rita finished her post-graduations on “Genetics and Genomics for Clinicians” and “Intestinal microbiota - Implications for clinical practice”, both at NOVA Medical School
