📍 NOVA Medical School Library (Rua do Instituto Bacteriológico, no. 3)
📅 November 3, 2025, 6 p.m.
With more than four decades of existence, Frontal Magazine has been — and continues to be — a milestone in the academic life of NOVA Medical School. Integrated into the Student Association, this project is the result of the commitment and involvement of Medicine and Nutrition students, functioning as a platform for expression and sharing a love of writing.
To celebrate its history and recognize its relevance over time, on November 3, at 6 p.m., Frontal and the NOVA Medical School Library will inaugurate the exhibition “FRONTAL: Decades on Paper,” which will present, for the first time, the complete collection of its printed editions, from its creation to the present day.
The event will take place at Rua do Instituto Bacteriológico nº 3, in Lisbon, in the Library building, and will be attended by:
- Professor António Rendas, former Dean of NOVA Medical School and former Rector of NOVA University Lisbon;
- Professor Luís Bento, Assistant Guest Professor at NOVA Medical School and former director of Frontal;
- Dr. Jorge Roque da Cunha, President of the Independent Union of Doctors and former director of Frontal;
- Dr. Tiago Baptista, Alumnus of NOVA Medical School and former director of Frontal.
To see all the editions of this project — which now includes the 55th edition of the magazine, launched in October 2025 — is to revisit the history of NOVA Medical School, as well as the various meanings that being a student at this institution has taken on over the course of these 42 years.
The exhibition can be visited during the normal opening hours of the NOVA Medical School Library, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
