Pedro Carreiro Martins

Immunoallergologist

Holds a degree (1998) and a PhD in Medicine (2012), and took the Tenure Exams in 2021. He is currently an Associate Professor at NOVA Medical School, where he teaches Pathophysiology 1 of the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine. He also works at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Lisboa Central, as a Graduate Assistant in Immunoallergology. Throughout his career, he has participated in the design and execution of various research projects on chronic respiratory diseases and the effects of pollution on the airways (SAUDAR, ENVIRH, INSPIRAR, GERIA, OLDER, OSCAR, EpiCough). He is a researcher at the CHRC. He is the author of more than 70 scientific articles published in journals and has more than 2,500 citations. He is editor-in-chief of the journal European Annals of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
