III Family Centered Care Conference: Communication in Child Health

21-May-2024

On 21 May 2024, between 10am and 1pm, NOVA Medical School will host the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation's III Family Centered Care Conference, which will focus on "Communication in Child Health", one of the essential pillars for excellent care during and after a child's hospitalisation.

The Family-Centered Care concept, which is becoming increasingly widespread internationally, recognises the family as an integral part of the child's care process, from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and recovery, and has demonstrated important results in the treatment of paediatric patients.

The panel of speakers includes several personalities from the health and education sectors, including Helena Canhão, Director of NOVA Medical School, Marta Sousa Pires, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation, Beverley H. Johnson, President and CEO of the Institute for Patient and Family-Centred Care, among others.

Admission to this event is free, but subject to registration and with limited places. See the programme, all the speakers and register here.
