'Communication in Health' open to all medical and nutritional sciences students in the country

20-Feb-2024

Registration is open until February 22 for the Health Communication Curricular Unit at NOVA Medical School, coordinated by Alexandra Bento, coordinator of the Food and Nutrition Department at the Dr. Ricardo Jorge National Health Institute, and Francisco Goiana da Silva, Member of the Executive Board of the National Health Service.

This curricular unit plays a crucial role in the training of future national and international health leaders by addressing the different dimensions of one of the main challenges facing 21st century health systems - communication.

Composed of practical and theoretical-practical strands, the structure of the curricular area allows for an interactive and contemporary learning regime, emphasizing the practical application of curricular concepts, but also encouraging active participation and the development of critical thinking through reflection and direct debate with personalities who currently dominate the sector.

An integral part of the NOVA Medical School Degree in Nutrition Sciences, this curricular unit is open to other students attending health courses in the country, promoting synergy between the areas of Nutrition and Medicine.

Attendance is free and students who are not attending NOVA Medical School's Degree in Nutrition Sciences will be issued with a Certificate of Participation that can be added to their diploma.
