A workshop on philosophy in medicine will be held on 23 May at 4pm and is open to anyone interested in taking part.
This initiative will be led by Professor Mariana Barosa, who studied at NOVA Medical School, where she completed her Master's Degree in Medicine, and at University College London, in the UK, where she completed her Master's Degree in History and Philosophy of Science.
The theme of this workshop, Philosophy in Medicine, is a field that has been growing in recent years and that explores fundamental issues and questions related to the theory, research and practices involved in the health sciences, especially those related to metaphysics and epistemology.
This is an opportunity for anyone interested to reflect on the purpose of medicine, what a disease is or what distinguishes it from a risk factor.
Registration is free, but obrigatory, HERE.
