“T-shaped Plate” Food Literacy as a Human Right: A Commitment for All

10-Dec-2025

On International Human Rights Day, we highlight everyone's fundamental right to a healthy and dignified life by promoting conscious, balanced, and sustainable eating.

In this context, on December 10, at 2 p.m., we will present “Prato em T” (T-shaped Plate), a food education tool that combines science, culture, and design to reinforce food literacy as an essential pillar of health and well-being.

The event will take place at the Slaa dos Actos of NOVA Medical School, in Lisbon, and will be attended by representatives of the three partner entities and personalities from the areas of public health, education, culture, and social policies, who will reflect on the importance of food education as a human right and on the impact of “Prato em T” on Portuguese society.
