NMS creates the first course in Portugal that unites Cooking and Medicine

The launch of the “Culinary Medicine” course took place on January 26, at the NMS Food Research Laboratory, with a practical class, which brought together doctors, researchers and university professors in the kitchen.


“Culinary Medicine” is the first course in Portugal that will put doctors and nurses in the kitchen. The objective is to provide these health professionals with tools that respond to one of the great challenges that society faces: the fight against chronic diseases.

Focused on solving this problem, for which it is urgent to find solutions, NMS is committed, once again, to the teaching of Nutrition to Medicine. With "Culinary Medicine", which will take place from April to October 2022, it seeks to follow the evolution of Medicine, in view of the concept of the 4P's: predictive, preventive, personalized and participatory.
