Afonso Duarte and Isabel Carvalho-Oliveira presented the funding opportunities of the Health Cluster of the new Horizon Europe work program (2023-2024), in an environment of direct interaction with researchers from NMS Research, with several moments of open discussion.

The Health NCPs also set out guidelines for future applications, with a moment to share the experience of researcher Marta Marques, co-principal investigator of the EPIDOC research group, in her participation in the application for the PREVENTABLE research project.

Following this session, the NMS Pre-Award Office will launch an expression of interest campaign for eventual candidacies, in order to initiate contacts with researchers from the various NMS research areas. Patrícia Calado, NMS Vice-Dean for Research, highlights that "the creation of these moments of interaction between NMS researchers and NCPs Health is essential to create proximity and better support future applications to Horizon Europe. The NMS Pre-Award Office and the NCPs are in permanent contact to ensure that our researchers have early access to all strategic information in this area, and available to support NMS applications."
