No. Students covered by the international student statute, regulated by Decree-Law no. 36/2014, of March 10, amended and republished by Decree-Law no. 62/2018, of August 6, are excluded from this competition.

According to the law, international students are not admitted to the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine.

No, although the regulations stipulate that a request must be submitted when applying, the fact that the application is now made exclusively online does not require this procedure. Applications will be considered valid if they comply with the rules published in the Call for Applications.
This does not exempt you from reading and complying with all the other rules set out in the Regulations.

No. You will need to submit the Minute available on our website, duly completed by the doctor registered with the Portuguese Medical Association. Only this will be accepted as proof of prerequisite. Where it says “issued on”, the date to put is the
date on which the prerequisite is passed. Other types of declaration/medical certificates will not be accepted.

Yes, any Bachelor's Degree or Integrated Master's Degree, national or foreign (as long as it is previously recognized in Portugal), with a minimum of 180 ECTS) is accepted for application.

You can only apply for this competition if you have obtained in Portugal the equivalence of the same degree, recognition of qualifications or registration of academic degree, issued by a competent authority. In order to benefit from the score attributed to the degree you are applying for, the recognition of the qualification or the registration of the degree must have an associated classification.

No, this competition is only open to people who have already finished their degree, or who will finish it during the application period.

Please note that your first degree will be the degree you choose to apply for (Bachelor's, Master's, Integrated Master's or PhD).
By way of example: if you choose to apply with a Master's degree, you will not benefit from the 5 additional points (referred to in Article 10 - criteria in point c) “Additional academic degrees (GA)” of the Regulations) that the Master's degree could give you as an additional degree. The degree you choose to apply for is not cumulative, i.e. it cannot be used twice for the purposes of the assessment criteria.

The entrance exams or national exams referred to in Article 10(d) of the Regulation are an assessment criterion, not an admission requirement, so you can apply with or without exams, where without exams or with only 1, in this item will be assigned 0 (zero) in the weighting. To enter Medicine by this route you must have at least a positive classification (9.50) in 2 of the 3 required exams.

The hearing of interested parties allows candidates to raise any questions they wish to have clarified about the stage of the competition procedure for which this period is intended. A
each stage of the procedure there will be a prior hearing period.

The 42 candidates with the highest marks after applying the 1st stage criteria will be called for interview highest marks after applying the 1st stage criteria.

The fee established for the application to the Special Competition for Access to the
Medical Course by Degree Holders is 103€.

As proof of secondary school scientific training in the areas of Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics you can send the ENES form or the certificate of certificate detailing the subjects you have completed.

Literary and/or academic qualifications will be proven by sending the respective certificates or diplomas. Professional qualifications/professional experience will be
proven in the Curriculum Vitae, which must be submitted. It is not necessary to attach proof of professional experience to the Curriculum Vitae. If the Jury deems it necessary, it will ask for proof later. The Curriculum Vitae is only accepted in Portuguese or English.

Yes, it is possible. Through the Special Competition for Graduates, you will always be enrolled in the 1st year of the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine (MIM). Only after you have enrolled will you be able to request credits (equivalences) with curricular units taken at other institutions. Once the syllabus submitted for accreditation has been analyzed, the MIM Coordinator and/or the regents will be able to decide on this situation.
Only after this analysis will you be able to receive accreditation or not, and eventually move on to another
year. Please note that accreditation is not guaranteed and is subject to analysis as mentioned above.
