X-Ray to NMS Research ends but will continue outside NMS

Last Friday, the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the X-Ray campaign to NMS Research, for the entire NMS community, took place at NOVA Medical School's MMM Auditorium, internally launching the new brand NMS Research.

The campaign was originated by the new Vice-Dean for Research, Patrícia Calado, and aimed to make the internal community aware of the variety of the research ecosystem at NMS Research. Every week, videos were released with questions about the research, challenging the entire NMS community to participate and get to know NMS Research through the answers. Various topics were addressed such as the location of research, infrastructures and support services that exist for Research and bibliometrics as an example of one of the outputs of our research.

This campaign, which lasted 6 weeks between June and July, was designed to involve, from its inception to its completion, the entire NMS community, its pre- and post-graduate students, its professors and researchers and the entire staff, in a fully representative manner.

Participation was valued through three different awards, which were delivered by Vice-Dean Patrícia Calado and by the Dean of NMS, Helena Canhão at the closing ceremony. The Speed, Creativity and Team awards were respectively awarded to Duarte Barral, Cláudia Andrade and a team of postdoctoral researchers, Bárbara Mendes, Daniela Santos, Diogo Bitoque, Graça Marques, Ana Nacarino, Angela Ávila, Cristina Writing, Inês Figueira, Nuno Mendonça.
